Night time 'Scorpion Hunt' featured at Dayton State Park on Saturday, July 20
DAYTON, Nev. — What nocturnal desert creatures glow neon green under a black light? Scorpions! After a short discussion about scorpions, we will go on a walk through the park with black lights! Participants should wear close-toed walking shoes (no sandals, please), dress in layers for the weather, and bring water and insect repellant.
A limited number of black lights will be available to use, but feel free to bring your own! Please note: we will not be catching or killing any scorpions, only looking at them glow under black lights.
